The Thai baht is planed to move more steadily after a voluntary acquisition of major shares of Shin Corporation Public Company Limited (SET:SHIN) was clearly finalized on Monday. It happens thanks to Bank of Thailand (BOT)'s Governor M. R. Pridiyathorn Devakula. Pressure for the baht appreciation had eased since a vast foreign capital flowing into Thailand for the purchase of Shin Corp's shares had run out, he said. ‘A large investment amount has flown into the country since last Wednesday. Now, the inflow has stopped because of the Shin Corp's share deal is finalized. It will help ease pressure for the baht to strengthen further,’ he added. The baht would not value at more than the current level this week since the pressure had eased, The BOT chief forecasts. Therefore, it is unnecessary for the central bank to keep a special watch on the Thai bath. It’s because the local currency had begun to stabilize.
