The Today newspaper reported on Monday, quoting an unnamed TOT source, that the board of directors at state-owned telecommunications firm TOT Corp. PCL has decided to expel the company's President Teerawit Charuwat on grounds of poor performance. The board made its decision on Friday. It happens after a 12-hour meeting, saying that Teerawit failed to generate adequate revenue for the company. He will receive severance pay, equal to 10 months of his salary, the source added. The newspaper also reported, that Teerawat plans to sue TOT's board at the Labor Court because of the unfair treatment. TOT is expected to make an official announcement about Teerawit's removal on Monday, the newspaper declaimed.
