The Energy Ministry declaims, how to drive safely and save fuel consumption to people, planning to travel and go home upcountry to celebrate the New Year festival. Director-General of the Energy Policy and Planning Office, Metta Banturngsuk, said on Tuesday the ministry expected a great number of people, who would travel and go home upcountry in the coming New Year. In that way, it had combined with the Public Disaster Prevention and Relief Department to plan distribution information about the safe and fuel-saving travel. Metta Banturngsuk accented that people could study from the leaflets how to drive safely and save energy consumption before, during and after their travel. At more than 7,000 road safety stations would be available about 400,000 leaflets. Thus, people could take them on a way to travel to celebrate the New Year festive. The number of carriers, traveling for this New Year period, would be around 366,675 units per day. If drivers of all carriers check and fill tires properly, the saving of fuel will make up 73,339 liters per day.
